World Cup Power Aisle

Recognised the 2014 World Cup would be a massive opportunity for the TV category.


Secured full power aisle space for tech categories, when historically this would have been for food during this period- TV categories were majority of these.

Cross category promotion put in place to drive up sell and overall margin.

Bespoke point of sale introduced to communicate key TV features, as well as market leading promotions, including interest free credit on top of price savings.

Enhanced Online Range and Execution

Due to store reconfigurations, the category was losing store space. To offset this, as well as reflect the trend of online sales, the web range was expanded and the execution improved.

​

A focus was put on premium ranges, smart technology and larger sizes, in line with market trends.

Premium ranges at high price points required A class content to sell effectively, so a programme of improvement was put in place to ensure all required information was present, based on customer research.

​

Customers in store were promoted the extended range online, with the ability to collect orders from an improved number of stores.

​

Free delivery was put in place across all TV products to maintain competitive position in the market.

​

Cross sell promotions were pushed to increase basket size.

​

Online sales were increased by almost 70%.

Highest Ever Audio Visual Hot UK Deal

Hot UK Deals is a site where customers share and vote on their best deals in the market.

​

A cross category TV and Xbox deal achieved the highest ever score on the site and sold out the full allocation of stock available at the supported price.

​

The deal delivered almost £1m worth of sales on its own.
